Happy Father's Day

I hope today was a great day for all the fathers out there. I know this day often gets overlooked and not given half as much attention as Mother's day which is a shame because I know some pretty terrific single Dads who do double duty. Anywho....
Here's to my Dad, who never told me I couldn't do or dream. He only ask that I always have a Plan B.
Thanks Dad and yes...I always do!

Lazy Saturday

Today was one of those day where I thought I might get a lot done but suddendly I realized, nah... this is a day of cracking open a bottle of really good albarino and doing nothing.
So today, I succeeded in the art of watching bad tv and lsitening to good music while stufffing my face.
I swear when the gods invented wine they thought of me.
ok that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :o)

So, manana is Father's day, until then.....

Takes my breath away...

Can you believe I will soon get to call this place home.

I received my paperwork from the Junta, so I can officially apply for my visa. It seems like just yesterday I was saying, "Can I really do this?". Oh wait....yeah it was yesterday!
I told my Godson that I was going away to work for a bit and his response was..." Hey wait, what if something happens to these two,who will take care of me?" I had to laugh especially since he made no mention of his brothers' well being and then after a moment of thought finally said, "oh well I guess I'll be living in Spain."
Aahhh out of the mouth of babes, huh!

El Titan

Tonight is the last game El Titan aka El Loco aka San Martin, my favorite player Martin Palermo will play in La Bombonera. Where as I will always be a Boca fan, I will miss watching number 9 do his thing.
I wasn't much of a futbol (soccer) fan until I went to Buenos Aires and then I got hooked. There is something about 90 minutes of cheering, singing and watching with baited breath that thrilled me to no end, so much in fact I became a fan. Thanks to the wonders of the internet and a few bars here in NYC, I never miss a Boca match. With that being said, tonight will be bittersweet...

Gracias por todo Martin.

So what do you know about Malaga.....

So what do you know about Malaga? Birthplace of Picasso and Antonio Banderas perhaps, well I am proud to say it will be the new haunt of this chica. After much debate and let's face it a sheer case of the scared *** less, I decided I will do this.  I accepted a position to be an English Language and Cultural Assistant in Malaga, Spain. Anyone who knows me, knows I have had a love affair with Spain since I first visited and studied there 14 yrs ago. Afterwards, any chance I got  to go, I went..I did have short detour when I live in Buenos Aires for a bit back in 2008; however, Spain kept calling ( for the record I'm not dissing BsAs because I love Argentina too and I haven't ruled out returning there as well). I'm not sure where this new adventure will lead, but I do know that it is time for me to move on and take a chance. I have been taking graduate classes in education, specifically TESOL and International Studies. Finally, I am grabbing a hold of that Plan B I spoke about. This has been tough, I am leaving friends and family I adore and a job that pays me very well for a job that will pay me peanuts but I have to follow my passion. Someone once said that if you do what you love, the money will follow. Ummm we shall see... I do know that I have to stay true to my philosophy... I want to live and not just exist in this world. So hello Malaga...let the living begin.

The Important Stuff

Wine is the answer. Now what was the question?
Yup this is the level of thinking I am capable of on Sunday afternoons. Seriously, is there anything else to think about? Oh yeah...what cheese would go well with the wine.
